I can't find any Facebook groups for Tamiya on-road. You could try putting a wanted advert on MSUK.

All seem to be this price. Cheap if the postage was the normal £6 UK postage.
You'll be waiting at latest 14 days to a month for delivery and anything over I think its £12 you get taxed on. Plus that ad is just for the body on its own.
The last genuine Tamiya body I bought a few years back was £27 minus the stickers witch were and extra tenner.
Hpi used to do a cheap (£20 to £24) racing mini bodyshell, but that was discontinued last year. And the only 'decent' mini body for around £20 is the one sold by racing punk on eBay, but when those do become available they sell out pretty quickly.

Also so I can save asking a question in relation to a 15 year old nitro buggy on MSUK, will a 1/8th air filter fit a 1/10th with a size 15? As I'm not sure on the carb size differences. As I would really like to take mine out with the new shell, but I just know the first 'damp patch' and the air filter will end up soaked and one dead engine.

I assume not due to the carb size. What model is it? I do hope you have bought a modern radio system, and installed a fail safe.

Its the one I posted a page or two back. Witch originally started out as a GV pred 2000. And when I say it's 15 years old, the main part of it is, the engine, radio and most of the driver train has all been repaired/replaced over they years, think triggers broom but with a rc car. As for the engine its currently running a 2.5cc .15 VX (Vertex) witch is tiny by modern standards.
It's only because while looking around I spotted this witch would be perfect, but my nearest (not so friendly) model shop is over 20 miles away http://www.wheelspin...co.uk/i/118427/

I might have one lying around for a 1/10th scale. I'll take a look in a min, and also look at the difference between 1/10 and 1/8..

Just had a look, and can't find a 1/10 scale air filter in my box of bits. Just by eye, I would say the 1/8th scale air filter is a lot bigger, IMO.

I know there will be a size difference, as obviously a 1/8th scale with the larger engine will also use a larger carb.
But going from the air filer extensions, there is a difference between the 1/0th and 1/8th. But I'm thinking if its not much then maybe a 1/0th extension, being as they are only silicone could be made to fit the 1/8th air filter.

Goes off looking for an old spray can lid to stick over the exiting air filter....

Really not worth the hassle. I would just buy the correct size air filter. Only a couple of £.

Next to one of the biggest 1/8th scale monster trucks, Team Associated MGT 4.60SE body shell.
Next to my Tamiya Escort Cosworth 1/10 th scale on-road.
It looks tiny next to the Tamiya body shell.

My new 'toy'. On the not so bright side, I needed to let my tamiya cosworth go to a new home. It was the same model the new owner had back in the 90's, so he's chuffed to bits with it, so it went to the best home possible really.
