My wife wants an R107 one day so in the same way I have a free pass regarding what are really her Minis over my cars/bikes I do have an angle in to get one of those without having a divorce, she wants a '78 in red but as they rust more than later ones I think she would be happy with an 80's one, I wish I had bought one a few years ago looking at the current prices!

R107s are great cars; one of the few classics that would be an entirely effortless/dependable means of transporting one to the Riviera! They suit bold colours; red as you say is great but nicest one I've seen is a recently sold 350SL from 1975 in a medium metallic blue with (rare) Tan MB-Tex interior, was on for a bargain £7k too :o

Not a fan of these, my childminder had one in period and it was pretty uninspiring!

Sticking to the german theme:

It's already on my "why didn't I buy one earlier?" list along with a nice Austin 7 Ruby!

Worst "you missed the boat" cars:

Testarossa £40k two years ago, £100k now.

Aston DBS V8 £30k 6 years ago, "

Merc 190E Cosworth, £3k 5 years ago, £30k now

:( :(

Question is, what's next to soar?!
