What about a volvo 240 gle.
The seats look comfy.
I'm still liking the idea of an audi 80 2.0e
I had a 740GLE estate. Was as thirsty as hell but was a very wafty car.
I just found some pictures of my 63 Regal

Worst "you missed the boat" cars:
Testarossa £40k two years ago, £100k now.
Aston DBS V8 £30k 6 years ago, "
Merc 190E Cosworth, £3k 5 years ago, £30k now
![]()
Question is, what's next to soar?!
The newer Astons are cheap yet look like £50k+ cars, porsche boxters are just stupid cheap! Old Range Rovers I think would be worth a punt if one came along cheapish.

Really? Not a nice a 'wafty' drive, with them being so big? I've always liked the look of them to be honest, but must be lwb with bullbars and yellow spotlights.

The few i drove were noisy, uncomfortable and just very unrefined but they might just have been high mileage chod

capris have pretty much doubled in a year but still affordable apart from the 3.0s ones.Worst "you missed the boat" cars:

True, trouble is the 3.0 is the one you'd want too! Luckily not really my cup of tea
^^ fab car! One of the restaurant owners near my place in Edinburgh has a mint black 560SEC owned from new, stunning cars!

Comfy, most smell of dogs though!

Nice cars, unloved in the early 2000s so so many scrapped

True, a £29k DB9 or manual Vantage is a tempting proposition! Likewise Boxsters, a real heap of car for the money, the snob in me would probably plump for a ratty 996 for a bit more though as early Boxsters weren't the quickest, plus like nominal 4st capacity. Sadly reckon the boat has sailed for 70s and 80s Range Rovers too; remember a few years ago you couldn't give away a basic spec early 4 door, now see various jokers putting them up for circa £30k! Still reckon they've a way to go though, as they offer a classic regal look that the latest model has lost.

Acceptable as a shoot bus, nothing more. If you aren't going to off-road it then don't bother, so many dodgy examples out there.
