Interesting.  California might allow a partial diesel fix in lieu of VAG having to buy back cars.  VAG must have fixed the California government well for it to accept such a thing instead of fixing their cars. Even my 2014 Ford Focus ST has a sticker that specifies that it can not be sold in California.  My understanding was that since a few years ago all cars sold in the US were supposed to meet the California standards.  I must have missed something.

I smell the greasing of palms.  I wonder how many VW owners there are in CA to have brought this about?

Not a chance.

One of the guys at work were speaking about emissions and VW thing popped up, 6.billion is a drop in the ocean for V.A.G.

For some lesser companies they would well and truely go down the pan!

Smaller things have killed bigger companies.....  Ford Explorer used Firestone tyres that exploded at 60mph+ several deaths later and no more firestone tyres, because the OEM's stopped using them, now if the customers of VAG decide to stop using them ...  good night VAG.  The chances may be low but it is still a possibility

The explorer was a bad vehicle with or without the bad tyres

easy to roll - IIRC someone managed to accidentally roll one in the ford factory car park - cant find the video of the aftermath now

looks like it has been deleted

the Volkswagen prices are holding up well

this may even prompt owners to change to a new 'clean' VW / Audi

but the indicators still won't work on the Audi

Well that was easily rolled...

it probably won't affect them at all, may even be a bit of advertising for them, it all depends on how they spin it.

Most of those that would care have already bought Prius's by now ;-)
