Not much to update on really speaking as all the hard stuff is done. Cut the front panel off the car ready for the new one. The subframe went off Monday to be sand blasted and powder coated along with the mounts. Those came back today and look great. Just all prep work now for the front end to be repainted and I need to build an inner wing for the drivers side. Bolt off one.

Good looking frame there!

Thank you! Very pleased with how it looks. Not only does it do its job well but also looks the part too!

Ok so just boring stuff been done last few days... Sorting out body work... New front panel.... New sound deadening on the floor. We made a bolt off inner wing for the drivers side that looks like a factory part even though it was made from scratch... engines back in the subframe for hopefully the last time. Been doing some filling and welding on the bulk head to get it a bit smoother and neater...its all paint and prep left now.... ugh

Nice work, I did the same with the VTEC build. Really makes a diffence to the look of the engine bay.

Left the radiator side open as the radiator blocks it all up anyway and the fan I have won't allow for it lol but I'm putting the engine bay back to the colour of the car as I did it satin black before and it didn't look fantastic after a while so once it's all done it should look cracking... engines all painted but won't show that yet lol leave a bit of mystery 😛

No done a huge amount as of late as I'm waiting for it to go for a front end respray, it's booked in for next Friday so once it's back I can power through getting it together and off to MOT. Everything still runs and works great. Found a place fairly local that will set up my steering geometry called avia speed shop! Repainting the cam cover as it had a nasty reaction due to it being sh*tty Halford paint!. Other than that the engine bay os looking pretty great! All my interior is noe fitted too and the audi tt seats look fantastic!

I'm quite pleased I must say I'll just be glad to have a proper drive of it! I honestly can't wait! So many future options regarding tuning now too with the micra engine so looking forward to that :-)

What have people done with their speedometer? I've got the standard mini 3 clocks in mine and it's reading well under as far as I can tell. How do people go about calibrating them anyone done it for the 1.3 manual micra engine? All info useful. MOT tomorrow too!

$60 Australian and another $30 when they had to redo it, make sure they tell you exactly what measurements etc they want to calibrate your speedo. I asked the first time and got told the wrong thing
