Well that's it! The cars taxed MOTd and insured! Done! Although there will always be something to do on it I'm sure! Like if fitted new 4 pot minisport calipers with the vented and grooved discs! Shiny!

One thing I will ask to anyone who has finished there 1.3 conversion, hoe do you find the top end speed? It's great down low nice and plenty of torque but I find the top end is lacking a bit.

I take it you are all talking about the same gearbox here? Also wheel diameter - who's using what.
It seems a bit odd that you are all getting different results.

I will be delighted if I get 90mph!

I would be overly surprised if you didn't get to 90!

I'm on 10's and have the best part of 60 in 3rd.

I may put 13" wheels in my gear chart and see how it changes things.

If it's accurate my spreadsheet reckons you should easily get 150km/hr (roughly 90mph) @ 4800 on 10's, 4680 on 12's, and 4350 on 13's.

Assuming a redline of 6400 (which I think is the factory redline) top speeds calculated are: ~198 on 10's, ~204 on 12's, ~220 on 13's

This is of course assuming that there's enough power to get to that speed....

I will be on 10s

198Kmh = 123 mph.  That's way more tham my nerve (or ears) will be able to handle.

Thanks for this.  This is the kind of thing that gives me the push to get it on the road!

I can scrape 90 but it's a struggle although if I left it it may go further. Also seems fairly heavy on fuel but maybe the way I drive?

Also I have very heavy audi seats in mine so that probably doesn't help! And need to get camber, rode hight and tracking sorted as it's probably allover the place. It goes in a straight line though!
