well i thought the welding was over ive plated up the bumper holes and indicator holes on the front ive put a slight skim of fibreglass on it and its ready for a skim of filler after taking the grille out i found a bodge job from the past the lh headlamp mounting panel has rotted through and a plate was screwed in to hold the head lamp , one is on order and that will be that for welding ! im in the process of buying a grille off a fellow member on here its half finished twin headlight conversion and with the new halogen headlights ive got i only need the indicators (piccie below) this will sit under headlight .
Ive got a freind coming to look at it on monday reference the full respay just depending on when he can fit it in.
ive got cold feet with the choice of conversion so much so there may be a e16se lump for sale as ive looked into the k series 1.8 or 1.6 conversion and i have to say im impressed im going to speak to watsons rally on monday ask a few qs and may buy the kit .
so welding will be properly done and im picking up speed now new paint and engine could be sooner than i thought
