Just got back from visiting Zcars today and i must say ... WOW

firstly what a nice guy Chris is! really made me feel at home. he's like a big cuddly teady bear. ahhhh

He took me out in a Hyabusa mini and it blew my socks off!!!

i tell you what if anyone is even thinking of building one of these cars , GO and visit the factory !!

ok heres a good question,

have any of the people here with Zcars mini's bought the new front subframe from Zcars? Chris showed it to me when i went to visit, but im not sure if its really worth the £700 he wants for it...

does it come with the hubs and brakes etc??? i forgot to ask lol.

No it does not come with hubs and brakes. But it is fully rose jointed wish bone race suspension that saves 8 kilos on OE sub frame.

If you want to stick to OE subby then I have a seam welded front sub frame on ebay at the moment, which will be much stronger than normal. It was shot blast, zinc primered and painted in black chassis paint. It is only going for a tenner at the moment. Also selling poly rear mounts for front subframe too!

hmmmm im kinda thinking that i want that new front subframe now. the more i think about it the more i want it lol!

im just stuck on what brakes to get ...

In order of price
metro 4pot vented brakes are fine. I have uprated to grooved and drilled disks with greenstuff pads.

If not minisport alloy 4pots on metro vented brakes are the next step up

Then Kads

then willwood 6 pots would be the next logical step

Errrrrrrrrrr No, Wilwood kit on 260mm discs is £700+, Kad 4pots are about 580 on 8.4" discs, Vented of course!!

Yep but try e-bay, always sets on their, about 300ish for a full vented setup.
possibly mine soon if i get some ££££ to get my wilwoods!!!
