    Starting My Mini Up

Hello Guys.

Well, I am a proud and naive new owner of a 1972 Austin Mini. I am pretty sure that this is an amateur problem, but hey, everyone has to start somewhere to become an enthusiast. She ran perfectly two days ago.

This morning I tried to start my mini (it was about 7 degrees Celsius outside, she is parked under a carport and has a cover) but the engine only made turning noises without actually starting. I then used the choke but to no avail. I believe I might have flooded the engine in the process.

This thus brings me to the questions. For how long will the engine be flooded? How can I start her now? What can I do to prevent this from happening in the future? And finally, if it should happen again, what is the best way to move forward?

Thanks, and sorry for being such an amateur!
