when i did the roof i had a feeling, even though it looked mint, i had a feeling id be painting it again!
It was the first thing i painted with the new gun and i put a very light coat on then another coat, but when i checked how much paint i had actually put on, it was a lot. I then adjusted the amount of spray, and put some light coats on. Now, i hadnt put much on the sides of the roof hence why i had polished threw on one side. So i had done the same on the other side too. I spoke to someone at a paint shop and they said that also using a white primer would help.
So what i did was get soem white primer and go around the edge of the roof, and it instantly reacted! The new paint needs time to go off, and the primer just melted it. So i have left the car now for a few weeks, ill prep it all again, and then paint it bit by bit with it all prepped. Not bit by bit.
You are probably thinking that im messing this up so much, but il learning, and i hope you learn something too from this.

Now a long time ago i had started to prep the doors and boot, comming back to them this time, i can see instantly that they arnt right. Now like i keep saying, im learning, and what i can see now, over what i saw before, is totally different.

One other thing was i ve put the 998 more together now, so the clutch is on and other bits too. I decided the garage is too small to do the engine and the panels at the same time, so ive put the engine away.

Ive covered it, and looking what i thought would still be a clean 1293 make me think!

Both in wrapping now and will be all safe.
So, ive been trying to paint this car for over a year now, i feel i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the new gun is amazing, just need to learn it, the filler i can see how of how to fix it, and the parts i have done, the side and rear the paint has flatted down nicely, and will look good.
One thing though, why dont i put that 1293 back in it ?! LOL!
