Pedal box refitted.

 

Cleaned and painted steering Coluum In preparation to get a rolling shell.

 

Started sound deadening.

 

Fitted More parts to the front subframe.

 

Drivers side paint.

 

Rolling shell again, I didn't take any pics of the rear end build up as got carried away. Ignore the gold wheels as ill be painting them white eventually.

Tailgate sanded to bare steel.

 

Tailgate epoxy primed.

 

Passenger wing sanded to bare steel ready for epoxy primer.

 

Drivers wing sanded to bare steel ready for epoxy primer

Some more bits and bobs done over the last few weeks. Sorted the rear panel out after my balls up removing the center badge and warping it slightly. 

 

Ended up skimming the whole panel, was just a light skim.

Guide Coated.

Block sanded.

Epoxy and 2k filler primed.

Guide coated Again.

Flatted again with large sanding blocks, center still wasn't quite right so more filler added.

Epoxy primed and given first coats of paint.

Rebuilt the gear selector mechanism and gear shift box.

 

Before, the rest was just as rusty and worn out.

Stripped down and sandblasted ready for some primer and paint.

Painted and re assembled with a new rebuild kit.

New Foam weather seal fitted to top before fitting.

Gear selector box and mechanism refitted.

Front cross members re fitted.

Petrol tank cleaned and scuffed up ready for a coat of black raptor to smarten it up.

Plastic primed and painted.

Fuel lines re fitted along with new clips.

Fuel tank fitted with new breather pipe's and stainless jubilee clips.

Fuel tank re fitted.

Front windscreen surround finished off and primed.

First coat of paint on roof.

Started stripping the engine ready for a rebuild, pics before stripped.

Engine block had a electrolysis bath for 48 hours then a week in a citric acid bath.





Engine block was then dry'ed off and masked ready for some paint.

Engine block epoxy primed.

Painted and 2k clear applied, photo's don't do it justice.

Block back up on bench after giving the bores a hone.

Crankshaft refitted along with new bearing caps.

Sandblasted lots of engine bits.

Painted.

More parts fitted to engine block plus new core plugs.

Had loads more bolts etc zinc plated, literally gathered together every nut, bolt etc i could find.

I guess it's too late to suggest a VR6 swap...
