Still plodding along with the golf In any spare time I get. I've let stress get the better of me over the last few weeks so progress has been slow. I'm hoping to have the underside finished by Christmas.
 
Sandblasted the inner dash panel windscreen aperture as there was some surface rust present.


Finally finished all the welding to the shell.
Pics of drivers side rear of sill inner arch repair process.

Looking amazing!! I've finally got my MK2 VR6 on the road, amazing fun just very thirsty

I'm still trying to get on with the project but lost motivation the last few months. The stonechip coating I applied was cheap and came back to haunt me, I found myself being able to pick It off with my fingernail.
 
So I removed all the stonechip, another week wasted but Tintable raptor will be applied.
 

 



Started prepping internal floor a section at a time. The floor will have black raptor applied.

Epoxy primed rear floor.

More prep and primer done to the floor over the last few days. Just have the rear seat base, boot floor and rear arches to prep and prime now.
 
Prep to rest of floor and front inner bulkhead.

Raptor bed liner applied wet on wet over primer with a 1.7 gravity gun. Raptor thinned to suit.

More progress today. Main floor scuffed another coat of epoxy primer then applied Raptor bed liner

Stripped the paint off the tailgate.

Under re sanded after removing old first lot of stone chip undercoat.

 

 

Repaired the dented chassis rail, never got it perfect but It's 10 times better.

Re seam sealed, a bit ocd.




Painted inside the front chassis legs.




Masked up underside and rekeyed for another coat of epoxy primer then straight on with raptor.

Tinted raptor liner applied. Looks different shades but It's just the light and camera. I went on a bit thick but spent most of my time rolling around on the floor getting tangled in airline.

Managed to get the back underside prepped up ready for another coat of epoxy primer ready for raptor.
