Well seeing as someone has brought this post near the top, thought id tell you the latest with it.
Took the engine out the other week and sold it to fund my new mini. so at the moment the shell is sat at a farm with no engine and looking sorry for itself.
The block and head are nice and warm in my shed, but i really need to fund my nwe mini as i need to pay it off by the end of this month!!
This project wont die, it will be built, but not right now. Maybe next year.
I'll keep you posted though.

I'm perfectly happy with the 9000 revs that mine pulls, any more would just be greedy.

Was looking at "panelbeaterpetes" project and noticed he had refurbed his wellers and they looked SMINT!
So i decided to do mine.
Now before i post pics up i just want to let everyone know, these wheels are not ment to or going to be perfect. First off they are 10x6 wellers, and secondly they will be used mainly for track use.
I also didnt want them "white white" so i opted for an "off-white" aka Ford (yes i know dan, sorry

So i sanded them down to as close to bare metal as possible with the wire brush on the drill. Then used a bit of good old wet and dry to get to the tricky parts. I then "keyed" the wheels using a coarse sand paper and then began the spraying.
Two coats of white primer and they looked ten times better already. So after the two coats (leaving 25 minutes between each coat) i applied 2 coats of the Diamon white, again 25 minutes between each coat.
I then left them for 30minutes and they have come up like this;

From the pictues, you cant really tell they are an "off-white" but when you look at the in real life they clearly are.
Was going to paint the other two tonight but its looking like more rain, so they are now in the nice warm shed, which should bake the paint on the two that were painted today.
