also took the plunge and stone chipped the engine bay. Very high pressure to get a less textured finish came out really well and im happy with it, just going to put 2 coats of top coat and lacquer on it aswell

What did you think of the Mini Spares bumper?  Was the ends rolled round like the genuine MPI ones?

Not going to lie I took a gamble with them because I have heard mixed reviews, but the one I received was spot on. Good quality bumper the ends were perfect I would recommend going of the one I received

- just hope when I need to order my other one it’s the same

Hope that helps bud

Ahh just did some googling... I think I’m going to lacquer them tomorrow and hope it goes on ok. Didn’t realise you can’t flat back metallic. I think I have been lucky up to know with the cross member/ rear bins and engine bay as I didn’t sand back before finishing off

Thanks for the comment I reckon you saved me a future problem there

Got on well this morning working on the car, with the engine bay being finished in lacquer I thought I would start bolting shiny parts on.

Doesn’t take much with a mini haha

Unfortunately didn’t move before the lock down, so we are stuck where we are at the moment until the lock down gets lifted on certain things. Fingers crossed not to long...
