Is there any chance that one of you has a seat cover in this color ?

Do you know if your car is a CKD ?

No. What is CKD ?

CKD Complete Knock Down or something similar, non uk minis were assembled in various countries from what was basically a kit of parts from BMC , in a lot of those countries local materials were used . My Mk1 was a Portuguese import, one thing that is different is the front seats which are a lot comfier than normal Mk1 seats and pertinent to you a slightly different colour to any uk offering. Close to where I live is a company that has Microcell Contour 6 seats which in my view are the best looking seats made in period,  I wanted a set made in the same vinyl as the rest of the interior but no luck on an exact match. If your car is a UK built car then Newton Commercial will probably have that colour in stock.

I see. How can I decide if it is a CKD car ?

I know NC but it's pretty expensive. Additionally I need a rear base cover also as it was missing from the car.

Alternative solution would be a pair of matching front seat for these rears

Have you tried upholstery suppliers or upholsterers?

They may be able to get material which is close.

Not yet

I would be more happy with original "welded-stitches" that's why I am searching everywhere, but it looks like I have to let it go  :shy:
