This is what I found on front nose, nothing under gasket on cowl rain channel. IMG_20250517_131330.jpg


That looks like a reproduction chassis plate.
I've never seen a genuine 1973 chassis plate that says "Austin Morris Group" on it.

My book did say how many liters....4.83 liters or 10.2 US pints....or 8.5 UK pints

Pretty certain it's 5 litres or 8 1/2 pints (UK pints) for an engine without an oil cooler

Fill it slowly. And turn it over before it’s at the Max, to circulate in the oil filter. Then let it settle and recheck and fill accordingly
