1969 for the mk3 mini and clubman, but the mk3 versions of the Riley Elf and Wolsely Hornet had them much earlier from about 1966 along with internal door hinges and wind up windows.

Not entirely sure what that means?

It’s not what the vehicle came out of the factory with, means nothing.

So you’ll have enlighten us, as in the U.K. a vehicle never gets a new VIN, the factory VIN stays with it for life.

Fair enough, maybe someone in USA can shed light....

A VIN check using a UK VIN checker, says it's a Lincoln MKS, see screenshot below.

Correct me if I’m wrong, how on earth can a classic Mini get assigned an VIN for a Lincoln. In the U.K. it’s fraud and misrepresentation, to be honest I’m at a loss about how this can even happen.

As I’ve said before, your car is no earlier than 1990 and highly likely no later than 1991.

I get lincoin MKS also

Guess I never know for sure the exact year Mini.

There's nothing on the screen shot suggesting it's for a Mini - just another car that belonged to the previous owner?

My guess is, the plate number on the car is what the link could be, might be wrong.

Is there a part, like a distributor, or something that would only fit a 1990 or a 1991? A mark 5 or a mark 6

They didn't change much over 40 odd years.

There's some changes to the body that are pretty defining: rear window size; doors for sliding or wind up glass; roof gutter detail...

Very little, if anything, that's bolt on most of a 1959 car could be bolted in to a 1995 car & vice versa with little difficulty.

Still fishing for things to identify your mini I see!

The problem with minis is, pretty much everything is interchangeable, as has been said!

All classic mini oil filters are the same from 1959 to 1996

So is oil filter same for 1990 and 1991

that one was confirmed already by the looks of it
