try looking in the for sale section for 200sx, he has a alpine ipod adaptor, now these are usually expensive but he is selling it for the princely sum of £35 if i remember rightly add that to a nice alpine hu and will have a lot better sound quality than the pioneer one as apline are simply amazing

Alpine for the head unit and JBL for the speakers, ive had loads of different makes and allways go back to JBL. Just scored a 10" JBL GT4 sub at motorworld for £21.99 brand new. cant beat that!

Yeah I have decided to go down the Pioneer and JBL route. I have decided that im not gonna have a headunit at all in the car as a security measure.

But will that work? Because when i plugged my dvd player directly into my amp's aux ports, i had no control over my volume control and i burnt out alot of the wire for my DVD plater.

Hey All!

wow I'm suprised how busy this post has been. Anywhoo. I was wondering what you lot thought of this set up ( i know i asked this ages ago but changed my mind)

Sub

Amp

I already picked up 4 Pioneer speakers few weeks back.
:P I know this is a stupid question and as u can tell im new to ICE, but if its a 4 Channel amp does that mean i can have 4 speakers AND a sub or not?

the problem with that amp is that it will always be working hammer and tongs to power the sub. Now if you was to get this amp http://caraudiosecur...ts_id/2910.html and run it bridged to give a singluar output and run it at 3/4 gain then the amp would be running comfortablly with in its range reducing the distortion you get with running an amp at its maximum. I wouldnt run the amp at full gain with this sub as it willbe slightly over powering it.

the amp u suggested will run a sub but 2 not 4 other speakers.

Hope this helps

Adam
