I feel proud to belong to the true mini generation, having owned three minis between 1961 and 1969 and another three between 1990 and now. I think minis cheer people up. I'm amazed that youngsters who ought to be too young to understand the mini spirit somehow make the connection.
The one thing I don't get from other drivers is indifference. They either take pains to cut me up or they make extravagent efforts to wave me through. Sometimes I drive too fast for my ability but most of the time I feel an ambassador for the mini family and try to be polite. I get road rage in Mrs Teapot's Pug and bike rage on my mountain bike but I never get mini rage. The Government think I'm an OAP but if they saw me in Huey they'd take my pension away as an imposter :gimme:

There are alot of rubbish drivers on the road, especially the motorways and 2nd and 3rd lane drivers and people that sit up your arse. It is noticable though that lorries tend to be nicer to mini drivers and make space, although the younger tuning groups tend to just arse about infront, behind you or laugh

But i would much rather drive my mini than my astra

Hyper and dead cheeky!! I love it went you drive through town and everyone smiles at you; i love smiling back at the kid laughing at me at the traffic lights because i'm bouncing around singing to myself; i love driving home, through town at 4 in the morning like i'm on a rally stage. And if i'm honest, i don't mind when idiots cut me up or whatever, because its fun flashing and honking and swearing at them until they acknowledge and apologise :(

i love the stupid smile i get, knowing that my hard work amounted to something great!! i dont care if my non-mini friends think im crazy, its the adventure... the strangers that stare and wave... the history of the car.. and the fact that most of the uk have had one at some stage and have a story to tell!! lets face it how many other car owners wave and flash there light to passing by cars of the same type?? lol..

and it pure british motoring excellance!!

piece!!...lol.

I cant describe it, its the best in the world! I cant wait to get back in a mini! or in the back of one ;) anyway...:P

Yea a few times ive had some idiot tailgate me which annoys the hell out of me! And i do/did get people cutting me up and pulling out on me but o well. When people over take me, i tend to just laugh. When i look in my mirror and see that the car behind me looks like its just about to over take me i just think 'hmmm yes, over take me im soooo slow and small' :( JUST because IM SMALL DOESNT MEAN IM SLOW!! Minis can pull away really quickly tho, Molly could :P nice light lil things, people underestimate them!!

Driving molly was the best- like an addiction!!

Driving a mini is the best thing, after learning in my mini and a focus, i'm totally put of modern cars, and when you have the crew from tesco car park following round housing estates with mini roundabouts and tight twisty bends, theres nothig like making them see you diappear into the distance, and people that over take you or go round you in the wrong lane of a roundabout, just drop down a gear and stuff it up the inside make em scared B)

I took a work mate to pick up his car from the garage in my mini. He hadnt been in one since the 60s, and was totaly
gob smacked when a old lady in her mini waved at me, he asked if i knew her i said no, then went on to tell him it was quite common for this to happen.

Only like driving my mini or at a push the Disco..... but am driving a corsa - don't shout at me - my lady is off the road and waiting for me to spend lots and lots of dosh on her......... which I hope to do soon - next 3-6 months!

Mini - how does it make me feel, happy, relaxed, sexy - they are such sexy little things. Non of the men in my family are allowed to drive her! She is a one women mini!

Just love driving around in her - does not feel as if I am driving a little car.

People who tailgate - just ignore them... they have to wait I am driving a mini and that is that. Those that try to bully me, just yell at the window, just wait until her big brother (disco) catches up with you and then ignore them, I am driving a mini and that is that!

Love overtaking in a mini - especially on the motorways and A roads and finding the smaller lanes on the lead up to the roundabouts! Such fun!

I used to drive the M1 from London to MK each day, and found that the truck drivers used to look after me flash me in and out of lanes and even pulled out behind me when I had overtaken them.... almost as if they wanted to make sure that nobody tailgated me..... Some of them even waved at me as I went past..... and the pulled out behind me!

I have also used to drive down the side of Silverstone each day to work, and loved beating the BM's round the roundabouts. Got to the stage when the BM's would wave me on and then just catch up on the straight bits. What does that say about the BM driver ability then?

Parking is even better..... Have got my lady into spaces that no other cars can go.... My mum had a mini years and years ago and the police even let her park with the headlights facing the pavement so that she could visit me in hospital - nice or what? I wish that she had taken a picture of this. I have even had little kids try to cuddle her!

I don't mind where I drive her, as long as I get to drive her....

Going to keep her for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.........
