well, I know the guy is at least looking at it , as he says he'll need a new front panel and rear valence to make any sense of it at all. So fair enough, he's got the panels now...and I need to call him to tell him to weld up the indicator holes...the real ugly Canadian ones!

THANK YOU AL!!! lol because i lack the funds to buy new ones. So I still don't know what i'm going to end up paying, Ken said he was throwing 1500 out as a figure, but i'm hoping that i can get it down a bit...

1500 for what brakes? i am sure new ones can be bought from minispares much cheaper than that.

my cooper s setup cost me about 1000 USD including shipping and that includes new hubs and everything

I'll have a look at mini spares then...see what the prices are like.
EDIT: Could you send a link? and Al, what prices are you seeing for new...as Ken said somewhere around 2000 for new...

now i'm confused lmao, minispares has a rubbish search.
SECOND EDIT: My Miniworld says around 600 quid for the set...i'll ask ken about it.

So it is now official, I am purchaseing a set of used, but highly serviceable (came off a running car) Cooper S braking system. For a grand total of 700 dollars. (350 pounds). Pretty good price i think. And yes, these are Scotts disks Al.

it's a little high, but they're pretty rare, and recon won't be very expensive for me, as I'll be doing it myself, and only really paying for parts...anyway i'm happy with them haha. Brand new is around 1000, plus shipping, so it's not too bad...but yeah, not too easy to come by in Canada.

well my 16 year old brother is driving a 1999 Subaru 2.5RS, and he pays 2000 a year (1000 quid) but htat's just liability, no collision. I can expect more, as i have a classic...but I'm only going to get 6 month road insurance, and fire/theft for the winter months...
