All of you are feeling the effects of trauma now, and please don't underestimate your aches and pains. Take it gently and you'll feel better sooner.
Nasty business all round.

really sorry to here about you accidents
if any of you need help rpeairing you minis or 106 i'm sure i can lend a hand, as its what i do for a living lol
i'm only about an hour away in sutton, surrey
and raz i have a my mini up for sale soon the roof is near on mint as i spent about a weeks work doing the filler/beating work on it.
if the basis of the shell is repairable or not bent the you could buy my rolling shell for 200 and do a roof swap perhaps even a chop at the same time????

so if you want me to have a good look over your car to see if its doable then give me a shout on pm or email same goes for the others if you want me to have a look over your motors
i'd only ask for petrol money and continuos cups of TEA
yes i actually enjoy my work, great stress relief
hope your all recovering well

yes really! I had to attach a winch to the front crossmember and to the back of the astra and pulled the worst of the damage out but as the metal had stretched that left big lump sticking out ..... big hammer time!!!
the radiator was pushed back into the engine so hard it bent all the fan mounting brackets and jammed the fan up against the radiator
the bumper had been wrapped round the oil filter
the bonnet was bent
nasty dent in the roof ( although no where near as bad as poor molly)
the bumpers badly cracked and split
a very clear mark of where the pergola hit the windscreen .... luckily that didn't break
oh and now the drivers windows fallen out!
apart from that its fine >

in reality the cost of a proper repair is far more than the value of the car but after several hours work its very tatty it can be driven ( legally and safely)
i removed about a bucket full of their garden from the underside of the car ...... do you think they want it back??

Sorry to hear about all that, glad everyone is OK though. That pic of Molly with the crushed roof had me wincing a bit, thats really going to need a new roof pannel......and thats not going to be easy! :'( It *IS* repairable, and could be done with a donor mini from a scrapy (oddly the roof never seems to rot on a mini!??! ), think the insurance will write it off though - prolly as a catagory B = scrapy yard parts. :'(
RAz, If you have the chance to buy molly back, do it! The old girl has life in her yet, if she only gets a cat C. Fight for a cat C if they write her off!! The rest of the panels can prolly be popped out to a "useable" state.
Maybe some kind TMF'ers could lend a hand to fix molly?
<gives Raz gentle cuddle...avoiding bruised bits, and a pat to Molly for well protecting her occupants>
