another update, got some 10x6 wellers coming from mini spares and i am going to get round to doing the brake lines and getting the front subframe back in. brakes will be 4 pots with standard drums at the back and a brake bias adjuster in the cabin with the brake and fuel lines.
what do you reckon, do i go for this bias adjuster?
or this one?
decisions decisions!

I have been told that it is illigal to have adjustable bias brakes that can be adjusted from inside the car .
I dont know .. if anyone could confirm or deny this ?
I think it may have been part of the SVA rules .

i have just spent quite a lot of money on new brake and clutch master cylinders, new brake pipes, rear wheel cylinders and a bias adjuster, so hopefully the brakes will be ready soon.
i have also been stripping the paint out of the engine bay ready to be primed and repainted.
i'll try and get some pics up soon.

this is the one i have got now, they are put in the line between the master cylinder and the rear brakes so you can fine tune the pressure exerted on the rear brakes, i probably wont touch it much once its et up but it looks cool and it could be useful on track days so what the hell?
why not?!

also seriously considering ordering a foam filled racing fuel cell, nice and safe and cheaper than i was expecting, should help with handling too becuse its low and would be centrally mounted

They don't hold much fuel, though. If you're going Turbo, the little bugger will get horrendous MPG. Bear that in mind.

you can get them in loads of sizes though, i want an 8 gallon one, thats half a gallon more than the late model mini tank holds so mileage shouldn't be a prob,
but you can get them in silly sizes like 1 gallon though, you wouldnt go far on that!

update.
mini spares dont seem to have any wellers in stock so i'll have to have a think about wheels, i've ordered a few panels to replace the old rusty bits so weather permitting the shell should be solid again soon, the engine bay is now almost paintless so i will be able to repaint and refit all the parts to it, i've also got some heavy duty tie rods coming so i can start rebuilding the front subframe,
i have also got all my brake gear here now bar a couple of bits so i can start fitting the barkes up to the car.
heres some pics,
more updates as and when
