What have you been using to clean parts up? They go from grimey to looking like they've been shotblasted or something!

dude.... tried it and am NEVER EVER doing that again. what a waste of time. www.bilthamber.com is the stuff to use cheap as chips and a MILLION times more effective. Unfortunately i had ran out of it when i got around to do doing the pedal box.

Made a small amount of progress this weekend... well ... i corrected a problem i had made earlier...

couple of weeks back i accidently sheered off one of the studs that hold on the accelerator pedal so i was pondering on how to fix it... and came up with this..

cut off whats left of the old stud using dremel

Que one of these:

Its a stud welding machine borrowed from freinds at pinical fabrication.

The test stud :

The stud is welded on in the same way a spot welder would weld, its so fast and so clean that the paint on the back of the panel is unnafected, and it stays at a cool temperature as the stud can be touched straight away.

Finsihed product:

final stage, refit accelerator pedal... will need cutting down in lenght though..
