Not yet fellas :)

Subframe is out, fitting the engine into it tomorrow, and then its going into the car...
ONCE I can get the starter to turn the engine over to get my oil pressure up...

Looking good Dog. However, isn't the inner wing going to be in the way of the oil cooler, and aren't you going to need to take the carbs and rad off to get the engine in the mini?

he did say the front subframe's off so he might be droping the body over the engine

id take the carbs n that off anyway, easier to manovre the body over without knocking/damaging them anyway.

Yea, I read that too Bumgle, but your still going to have to be VERY careful not to scratch the inner wing on the rad, and taking the carbs off you'll get much more room to manouvre the engine and subframe.

Progress... well....

First of all. My carbs weren't bolted, they were just lay on the studs for the photo, so they came off, the oil cooler isn't in the way as the in "insteped" more in than it looks on the pics, its almost sat where the coil is normally.

And yeh, I lifted the body over the engine, makes it a whole lot easier, and the rad doesn't touch the inner wing either before you start saying :)

Anyways, pictures speak a thousond words...

Engine fully dressed - just see where things will end up once fitted...

Only problems I had was my dad kept asking if I wanted a cuppa every 10mins... and it started to rain as the engine was being lifted into the Van... sodding weather.

cool, looks like a very tidy installation. I was racking my brains trying to think what the engine colours reminded me of, then it hit me....
