Busy Busy weekend ^_^

Managed to fit a new Maniflow exhaust and a ph2 LCB, FULL service, bleed the brakes and changed the rear shoes...

Anyways, who ever though it was a wise idea to weld a Freeflow exhaust Manifold to a Saloon RC40 exhasrt system must have been on the wacky baky... It wouldn't be soo bad if the welding was up to scratch...

So, out came the grinder, cut the exharst into 3, and eventually got the old system off....

Replaced with a much nice Maniflow item :( - the differace is amazing!! More power, A LOT quieter, most of all, makes the engine more behaved...

Other than, I also managed to get a roof rack, needs to be tweaked so I know its going to be safe, but other than, I finally found one lol

Hopefully next weekend, I'll see if the 10" steelies fit, if they do, then off to the powercoats I go, to get the wheels done in creme - and I need to sorce one more chrome hubcap... and I need to get the pads changed over on the front brakes, as I am not liking the green stuff pads that are in there now... and make a storage box/bulkhead box for the back of the van, but other than, all is good :)

Did you get the seats in?

Is it me or are the wipers the wrong way round? :(

yeh tis on the right...

I just got the Van back from the Garage after having a "MOT" check...
Not all bad, just bits I kinda knew that needed doing...
  • O/S Front Floor, Inner Wheel arch - rusty, and need welding
  • N/S/R Floor pan, slight hole needs patching
  • Battery insecure
  • Play in both rear radius arms
  • O/S/R Wheel bearing making some noise
So couple of weekends work, but getting all the welding done, by the chap at the garage, as hes restoring 3 mk1 Minis (which he is making the Italian job reps...) oh well...
And while the radius arms are out, I'll change the shocks, and put some new brake lines in...

Which garage is doing the work on the Minis?

P.S. It was me you saw in the white City as you were on your way down Bath street, would have flashed back but I was too busy staring at your number plate to see if it was you!

Wooooo your the first Mini I had actually coming towards me I could actually flash :withstupid:

Saw loads of Minis about tonight, as I was testing my new fan - a 4 blade jobbie, as I'm having overheating problems...
and due to that, I am now put on order a Ali 2 core rad, and a 74*c 'stat, so a 2 core rad, a 4 blade fan, and a lower temp stat, "should" sort these overheating problems!!! Might order a high capacity water pump too...
