the guy i bought my car off cracked the block on his 998 due to driving it badly, he didnt tell me and it caused the headgasket to blow a number of times before we realised it had cracked

I REALLLY REALLLLLY want a 1430 or 1480 - but its a road car... so have to look at reliability at the end of the day...

1.6 is the way forwards... apart from the daily re-builds and week long block lifespan :alien: :errr:

It'll certainly keep the thread bumped up

I think I should stick to 1380, it costs a lot to get my crank done - then I have to find some S rods... :closed:

I think I have a wheel bearing gone :proud:

When I travel along, I can hear a "Whirly" noise, and its louder n louder, the fast I go... so looks like I might be replacing wheel bearings before Rivi Run....... Nice....

Was alot easier then I thought, I also had to change my ball joint while I was there too...

Roll on Rivi Run now... then after, is when the hard work comes in!

well, its a whole back end rebuild...

Full strip down of the rear subframe, rebuild with new brake lines, new radius arms, new built up back plates, new shcoks, new Hi-Los, new cones, nice lick of paint, bolt all back together with new bolts...

Should handle a bit better then :proud:

Once thats done, I'll focus on the paint work, n body work, then I'll build a spare front subby I have here, and shove my 1380 into it, then swap it all over :closed:
