20Yrs old, No NCB, First Years Insurance.
1980 Clubman Estate Turbo
Bucket Seats (Insured as £300)
Wheels (Insured as £150)
Arches (Insured as £20 - because theyre sheet,lol)
Im insured for £878.11, and i get my 1years NCB in 15 days.
Miniworld are pretty good, thats a bit more than i was expecting to pay, but with everything declared and covered im quite happy with my result.

This was after ringing about 15 different insurers!
I always find hic quite good with modified minis.

Also i will be looking to pay around £800 i hope, i pay that now with 2 years no claims 2 years driving and a SP10 DOH!

very tempted to get a massive engine now
im only paying £126 but im on my dads insurance, so i wont have any NCB when i come to have my own insurance policy, but who cares, im not skint now!

I used to be with Norwich Union for my insurance for a bog standard '89 Mayfair auto they wanted £400 fully comp. Now that I have cut it about a bit I went to Adrian Flux and they quoted £170 with agreed value of £1000 included.
I went with HIC the other year when my 1310 was still in one piece, I had agreed value option on that as well, I sent the photo's to the wrong department and instead of forwarding them to the correct department they stuck a stamp on it and sent it back to me....... I didnt try them this time

what cover? fully comp or third party? im planning on a rebuild, and wanted to increase performance, but have no no claims, am 19 and at the moment 1.3i cooper costs alot to insure! perhaps il go for a 1380 carb.i pay £400 and im 19 on a 1380 all mods declaired with agreed value of £4k on the car. that includes track cover, all from miniworld insurance.
