Forgot to post these... Spots are off for now, Going to re-wire them abit neater, an have them on something like a 6 pin connector block, so I can just unplug them and leave a loom in.

Went to the rollers, Timing was set, ignitor fitted, came to the fuelign and the wax stat on my carb was fubbared, so my jet was loose as buggery, so he sent me on my way as there was no point setting it when the jet was loose.
Thats sorted now anyway, got a new carb on there and alls didley.

I have'nt updated this in a long time!

After a stint of not working, the mini had a new earth strap, new Lucas sport coil, rewired the ignitor, an had the seat brackets welded on for abit more security.

So far its been working awsome, lovely to just cruise along at 60 in. Soon will be aquiring some more sound proofing and a rear seat again. In hope that it will make the car alot quieter! I put a massive dent in my RC40 the other night thou comming home from the girlfriends, totally forgot about this speed bump and smacked it on it. Ahh well. Might be an excuse for a Maniflow center exit

Argh. Had quite a few problems with lights over the past few weeks. I don't know where they have come from but alas, it's left me with no lights at all.

The problem has also hit the switch too, and killed the switch. An instead of trying to make the best of a bad job and saving a 15 year old chipped up loom, I'm rewiring the whole lights system, slowly progressing onto the whole car eventually.

I have already done the brake test switch, rear heated window switch and fog lamp switch, an since I have a totally free day tomorrow I am going to be doing the lights. I'll grab some up to date pictures as I go along too, so hold onto your hats for those.

And seeing as I hate the CF dash, I will be making a new dash, hopefully abit more suitable for what I need, which should be good. I have some rough sketches of my idea's infront of me, which I'll scan in tomorrow when I update the pictures.

Woke up at the crack of dawn today to start my quest for working lights!

Made up a switch panel to suit the new switches too, Yet to remove the old loom thou, but looking at it, surely there cant be any wire left that will carry current! Theres so much burnt wire  On the plus side, finnnally got my sidelights working again on the front, dunno why they packed up but they work now.

Just need to knock up a dash over the next few days! Aswell as removing the old loom, Need to order a new hazzard switch too, which should suit the car better too...

After deciding to go on the Retro Run this year, I thought I would try and get the mini abit more humain on the ears when your in it... My first port of call was to carpet the rear bench and add a few sound deadening pads, so I covered the whole bench an bulkhead in pads, and covered it, but the only carpet I could get was a dark grey, which I origionally was going to spray in satin black. But when I had finished, I really liked it, so then I decided to make a whole new carpet from it! Heres the result...

Not bad for £20 and a few hours work!

Some of the edges look a little rough, but there not so bad in person. Will be alot better when I get some rear door cards in there, and have trimmed them to match the dash, aswell as my front door cards. Still need to do the top rail cover too!

It's alot quieter thou, better all round!

Decided I could do with a little more speakerage in the car, but as with the dash speakers I wanted some smallers ones, abit more discreet. I'm going to recover my door cards tomorow :shy: Glad I put the door cards back in, its looooads quieter.

:) Going along today and the car spluttered and stuttered to a halt. tryed everything and then eventually got it running again, back on points. There was no spark with my ignitor kit at all  Ahh well, runs alright suppose, just a little guttered about loosing the electronic ignition.
