The dents and scratches always did bug me on it so I felt like I'd clean it up today. Looks miles better.

Whilst waiting for the filler/ pain to dry, I did this...



*painted the inlay of the gearknob red , Also, Take note of the older style choke cable. Deffinate improvement on the newer ones!*

Ordinary spray paint. Sprayed into the lid, then wiped on with a screwdriver Brutal I know...

Then wipe it wih a damp thinners cloth to get all the C**p off the face of it

the seat fitting mod you did was great, was that a kit you bought or just something you did yourself? was gonna get extenders myself but that looks neater. please supply some details

thanks matey Love getting compliments on the Mini

That seat mod, It's something I made up myself, all I've done really is put threads in the back of the crossmember in the same place as on the front. I used threaded Rivets to mount the seats. To determine location of the holes, I made a template of the hole pattern, then swapped it over to the other side, Masked up the crossmember, and just drew a line from the furthest hole on the right, across the beam and down the other side, just to get where to drill and what not. Real easy to do

I didnt use those specific ones, but you get the idea. Google Rivnuts if oyu havent heard of them before (Y) I love them.

Feel abit safer leaving it in the tram station everyday now. One thing I don't understand...

On the wiring diagram, theres an orange wire, which is for the imobilliser, It goes to a relay, then from the relay to the starter.

Which wire on the starter does it go to :S The power in or the negative? I'm stumped!

if you have your seats that far back then surely they rub on the rear seat bins like mine do and cut into the back corner of the seat?
how have you avoided this?

My Cobra's are thinner at the back so they just avoid scrapping on the bin
