starting to think about the colour now......however i was thinking something quite larish colourwise, like orange or lime green but orange everyone seems to do that now. and well limeish green just reminds me of adz minus so thats out of the question, pink and lellow are noes as i dont like lello and i dont want to be called gay.....

the +60dished pistons from minispares to make it 8.3:1 cr ish. (i know it wont be a 998 anymore tho, 1040 summit?)


Unless you are increasing the bore size, the displacement will remain the same as the dish is still there whether the piston is at tdc or bdc, it just changes the CR.

Make sure you check with TDK before ordering the front end as when i got mine, he couldn't deliver it due to size so i had to drive to Cov to pick it up (which was OK with Sat nav but i wouldn't like to do it without :w00t: )

i know that :w00t: does bring it out to that engine size doesnt it? and i think itll be kinda like, "dad can you come and take me to pick something up" "how far is it" "only 200 odd miles" "you F***ing what?" "pweese" and so on and so on, actally how far is it from us big gav?

i thought that a bigger dished piston will increase the cc? as cc is a measurement of the volume of a cylinder.

what about stroking an enigne? and before anyone says it, not with your hand :thumbsup: !

do you have any idea how much the engine work is going to cost you in total?
and how old are you ? (for insurance reference)

i recon for the engine its self its gunna be about a grandish then about a grand for the turbo then about 500quid on the gearbox

so 2500 in total, and ill be 17 when driveing this car, but it wont have that engine in it then, ill put it in when im 18. and to be honest i dont want to be learning to drive in a car with that ammount of power........

but but but, im not paying for my insurance my perents are for the first year the ruleing was that well untill i pass my test the engine has to stay standard, bar an exaust i guess however when i past my test i can pretty much do what i want! so the day i past my test ill come home take out that engine phone up the insuarance company drop in the new one, because its gunna be running on mirage manifolds itll be a simple swap over. just gotta build it first :w00t:

well yer but only by a few cc i dont think itll really make a diffrence...... its only really to stop me from blowing it to peices

and i dont really want to be changeing the stroke as its more work that will need to be done, ill only change or do something if its essential. like bearings and the like

AHEM! lello and being called gay! I think not! i havent had one gay comment in the past 2 yrs of owning him. so i think you should be doing it yellow!

i think your going to find that extreamly hard to insure!!

and not just that. ull be a new driver to the world.. with not much experience... you'll only end up smashing it up. :w00t:

but the great thing about the engine is that it will run na and turbo`ed so i can run it without till im 18
