Having just dropped the rear stubby o the mini I’ve now found that one of the Gmax dampers I bought from mini sport is shot as ones nice and stiff and the other really soft and doesn’t re-extend any more.
Probably just a duff one, but still blaming it on mini sport.

I'll drink to that. They don't care.

well over here in my neck of the woods, I work at a British Car Garage (we do normal cars, but we like brits).
We use MiniSpares soooo much, and stuff always comes in I think on time, but never damaged. seen some Somerford Reciepts, so they must be good if it make sit out here multiple times :shifty: ...
I hear alot of bad things about MWS as well :)

minisport are also way overpriced!!

Not always i need a new FAM7821 pressure reducing value

Minisport 57.59 including vat

Minispares 81.08 inc vat

quite a difference on a part that only costs £80

Also the minisport alloy callipers are about £40 cheaper as well but i dont know about the quality of either item so cant really comment on them?

Never had a problem with any of my Minisport orders, guess it just depends on the item and luck.

ive recently bought stuff from mini sport and they were top notch. i ordered the wrong exhuast, took of the packaging, realised, and they were like, "cool no problem, just send it back and we will sort it." the new exhuast arrived quickly, the staff were helpful and chirpy.

first transaction with them (usually go to mini spares but fancied a change) and i would use them again.

I just can't recommend Somerford enough because their service is awesome as they got the parts I needed in plenty of time so my Mini was able to get though it's MOT re-test without drama.

So yes I can't thank Somerford enough and their very helpful too.

I rang up Minisport for suspension cones, they gave me a price, I said that minispares were cheaper, and the guy hung up!

Also past orders I've had from them have been shockingly bad. Took them 6 months to get me 1 item.

Always use Minispares or Moss now.

I have to agree that there communication with the customer is C**p!
I ordered a full set of KYB GasAdjust shocks, I waited a week and then finally decided to ring up. They said to me that they were out of stock but couldnt be bothered to tell me!
minispares and huddersfield are far better!

Ive always gone to mini sport, they are the cheapest for me, as i live down south and theres nothing down here.
they have the best selection.
I have had a couple of problems, but nothing there not willing to sort.
I made the mistake of ordering online, which means if i choose the wrong thing for my car, they dont know and cant advise me.
but i have learnt to phone them now, and all they have been is helpful, ive only ever had to send stuff back that i ordered wrong on the website.
If i tell them what i think i need, they then tell me what is the right one to get.
Also, on there website, they had a special offer on purple calipers, but when i phoned up they said they didnt have any anymore, but because the website said they did, they gave me better calipers in purple at the same price (even though they were nearly double the price)
The problem is Mini Sport are cheaper and have better selection for engine parts, where as Mini Spares and Huddersfield Spares are more expensive for engine parts, but cheaper for trims, seats, wheels, because they are where i will get my wheels and seats from. but things like rips in seats, arnt there fault, they are the parcel companys fault, have a go at them too.
Mini sport dont phone you, you always have to phone them, they are busy, and are not a call centre, that have 24/7 to phone people back all the time.
I think you guys have ordered stuff wrong and cant admit it. People make mistakes.
they have been nothing but helpfull to me, they dont treat me like an idiot when i dont know something.
Ive had to wait around for items, but its not a big deal, just take the time to phone them, and ask about it
dont get funny because you have waited for 6 weeks expecting them to phone, you are quite able to phone them aswell, works both ways.
Also, loads of companies will take money from you first before sending the items, look at ebay, noone sends anything till you have paid, the only place i know that dont charge you before sending is Next, but they put you on a online credit form, so if you dont pay or return the item, your in a lot more trouble.
Give them a chance, they are nice people, just trying to do there job.

Also, noone wants to here things like that.
would you like it if you sold stuff and loads of people phone you up and said so and so is cheaper then you.
i think you would get P***ed off with that too.
But i know the saying "treat people how you expected to be treated" has gone out the window for most people
