great work youve done there mr, you like to get "lost" in repairing your car like me :!:

seems commons places the mini rusts as my mini is in about the same state as yours..... un fortunate it inculdes a rotten floor which has to be replace

Nah I used a DA sander until my compressor broke down, awaiting parts for it now :gimme:

wow :thumbsup: thats amazingggg i need a new front end so i shall follow in your footsteps made me more determined! just wondering roughly the cost for the pannels? well i need a new scuttle and front wings not sure of the other parts! i can get hold of a welder etc. you know along the top of the scuttle also was that blobs of weld?

All the panels have been around £500 in total and they are all Heritage

The welds on the scuttle are plug welds, drill 5mm hole though top layer and weld through the hole into the metal below like a spot weld then grind down

ok ok ive priced it up but where the hells this xpart price list gahhh... im gonna need more funds hmmm... haha hopefuly should take too long to save up... best practise my welding:)

I usually start around 10am and finish at 6pm so as not to annoy the locals. I've now moved the car into a garage to prevent the rain from damaging the car so these time will now change. Saturaday was Mini day at Combe so not much happened over the weekend but I did start the grind-a-thon on all the spot welds on Sunday. I have a house move to assist with today so no more work until at least tomorrow night

Nice work mate! Impressive!

The repair you made here, did you buy a repair pannel or make something up? i just had some pannels replaced on my shell and the only thing left to do on the rear is the corner bits below the lights like you have. its had a new rear boot floor lower valance and a boot repair panel (where the boot bolts on).
