and sorted the rear valance and put a new boot floor part in

Also trial fitted the brace bars but they are getting the way off the hinges so hes going to modify them

And this turned up from Curly

and i had to see what it would look like

Posted Image

then with the repair panels

Posted Image

it too big so will need tome chopping to get a snugg fit, my plan is to make it so you cant tell its a flip front with out looking

Would have thought the flip front being from curley ment it was spot on. Have you rang them and told them how "disapointed" you are with it?

looking good mate.

you will find that the front will take quite a bit of work to get right, as with all curley stuff they leave it a bit big so you can trim it down to size.

mine took a whole weekend of fettling but nows its pretty dam good.

Nice to see this progressing! Good work mr bodywork chap! ;)

Nice to see you spending yer money too! >_< :)

It may be worth you having a look at JetBlick's project thread, he had to modify the brace bars/flip front brackets for the same setup as you've got IIRC.

The front will need a bit of time to fit, they will never fit straight away. Is it me or does it look like there is a piece missing from the bottom lip?

Dave at the body shop has never fitted one before  but is looking forward to fitting is and he is a perfectionist so it will look good
He's had no other cars in the shop this week so hoping loads work will have been done when i go and see him on sat morning. Its good seeing the differences that have gone on during the week. Just wish i could do body work

Anyway will update on what has been done when i get some more pics :genius:

Yeah mate, I know how you feel. It's frustrating when you have to rely on other people to do stuff for you.

Still I have been thinking of doing a flip-front conversion for mine, I'd like to think I could do it myself, but I just don't know to be honest.

Hey Puddings, all this work is looking good, there is something about your mini as 'The Matt' said way back at the beginning of this post!!
I can also vouch that this is backed up by fantastic performance ( ok, & driver skill too ) as I was fortunate to have a passenger lap on 2006's trip, that was when you were worried about the oil pressure!! Good luck with the rest of it, hope to be at the Ring this year but depends on Turbonutter as Turbo clubby is still being rebuilt!!! :P

 thanks but i was having some 'hot' laps then, the oil pressure is fine now so no worries :shy: hope to make it to this years BH2N but will be worried about scratching my lovely paint work :D so is some one going to make a list of 'ring taxi' rides then lol O_O
