Hehe, my wife was supposed to add this but I see she hasn't as of now.

You know you own a mini when:

You wax your mini before you go to the beach!

(I have to agree with a lot of the previously mentioned ones, but "...When you don't mind being stuck in traffic, cause you're in your mini..." is so true, lol.

* Being stopped in the local supermarket becuase of wearing the latest London to Brighton T-shirt

* Not having a stereo in the car, because the engine and exhaust beat any music out of the water

* Going on a first aid course and the fellow students and even the tutor (because her daughter has a mini) are more interested in the mini than learing first aid (happened this week)

* Beating Binis at the traffic lights and being very smug after they have looked down there noses are you!

You've got really strong arms from all the steering

its not just steering you get strong arms from!

Pushing your mini out the garage for washing to save on oil

buffing gives the strongest arms!

I was gonna say well ahem..any repetitive motions would allow for strong arms.

This is SO true... The wife often givesd me a hug when I come home and says with a smile... "you smell like the car."

As for a fifth gear... I WISH!!

when you cant drive a car with power steering

Use to drive a modern car very rarely and every time I did i would weave down the road for the fist half mile, looked like I was drink driving.

when you take the oil filler cap off and breath in those A-series fumes! or when others get in your car and say "this smells old" and you dont even smell anything.

When you come back in to you home and your other half says "Have you been in your mini? You smell of it" and of course youve been caught

you drive for 50 miles in a hire car before changing in to 5th gear.

I do that in my other car..

And refer to your other car as your other car!

I get the same question from my other half. She say she can smell my mini on me. I think it smells lovely lol
