13x7 superlites..

Would love a Vtec, but that is mega money... especially for an unemployed student like myself.

Ok, after looking at the 'ring pics, I'm gunna give myself just under a year to complete this project so it can take me to Nurburgring 2006..

The plan:

1275 MG turbo engine, with series 2 rst intercooler, dump vavle. special turbo head, maybe sc drops. Engine will probably be rebuilt.

Small amount of welding- o/s door hinge + door step, o/s rear window and ofcourse bulkhead box.

Full respray, in probably the same / similar colour, with arches blended in.

Refurb wheels.

Rear safety devices cage + harnesses.

So, all that by sept '06

Budget £1000-£1500... :fear:

Or you could just send the whole thing my way? I am seriously needing a 1275 GT now, I think I may have issues with them :teehee:

Dunno why, but all of a sudden I have realised that I really want a GT! Gimme gimme gimme!

Small amount of welding- o/s door hinge + door step, o/s rear window and ofcourse bulkhead box.

Seems I was slightly wrong! :fear:

As I have finished all the jobs on my red Mini, I officially started work on the blue Mini today. Engine is all ready to come out, just engine mounts and driveshafts to do.

Stripped all the interior out, and inspected the rust. Needs both inner sills, door pillar, door step, and to my horror sills! The previous owner had covered the sills in filler straight over rust and holes! :saywhat:

Bit more work then I imagined!

Pics tomorrow.. :w00t:

Found some more holes today :w00t:

This is the worst side (offside), needs new sill, inner sill, door step and door post.

And what the sills were held together with! :w00t:

Also found some gripfill covering up a hole..

Other side isn't quite as bad.. will get away with patching the sill.

I know :w00t:

But for the age of it (35 years old!), its not too bad. Most minis would of been through a few sills in that time. Subframes and boot floor are solid. :w00t:

Gunna order panels later this week, and it'll be solid in no time.. :w00t:

Cheers Mark :w00t:

I've got a decent mig welder, and lots of time, so it should be all together before nurburgring. :w00t:

Just bought some Omega +020 (1293cc) Turbo pistons and conrods, with a 10cc dish! :D :D Will now be converting my current 1275 to turbo spec (as I couldn't get an engine for sensible money anywhere! And even then it would need rebuilding)

Also picked up some Clubman wings this morning from Minicb, as mine were a bit too dented for my liking..

Maniflow downpipe and minispeed bulkhead box :D

And A reconditioned T3 with a new actuator.. :D:D
