quite good when it comes to welding aint you, some right pretty welds there,
that support is the home fabricated or a somerfield part, if you hand made that, well your pretty good at that aswell.
very impressed by your work mister, when are you hoping it'll be done?

Nah, I bought the repair panels from Mini machine, I'd highly recommend them.

The completion date changes all the time at the moment, I'd still like to have him done for IMM but I'll have to how motivated I am after Gaydon.

Well, no pics but I've been doing a bit!!

Finished off the welding on the repair, the engine bay looked a bit of a mess so I gave it a coat of grey shutz, will be a good base for when I give a lick of paint.

Removed the steering rack, what a pig that was, had to angle grind the head off the bolt and knock(read hammer the living snot out of) the remains

Jetwashed the front subby and had a nice surprise, its all been polybushed and look in good condition.

The cones look suspect, I've got a spare set in a rear frame so I'll see what they are like(how tight!!)

Bought some new tie bar rubbers and knuckles to go on as well.

So just need to give it a lick over with a wire brush and some satin black hammerite, stick the knuckles/cones in and then remake the brake lines and its all done.

Thats a job for tomorrow.

Still no pics sorry, but have been making the most of the nice weather and given him another coat of high build primer.

Next up is painting the engine bay/interior/etc.

He can then go back on his frames(once I've rebuilt the front one that is!!)

Had a look at my "spare cones" and they're shot as well so I'm gonna pick some up at Gaydon.

Won't be able to do owt tomorrow night as its club night.
