I'm trying not to rush mate but it's hard not too. I got my manifold 99% completed this morning. Working nights so managed to get to the car about 3am and then an hour after I finished and the end result was this




Probably gonna have to trim a bit off the subframe cross member thing but it fit's quiet good at the moment. Just have to weld in a new Lambda sensor hole and link up the back box part and she's all good.

Is that front bar on flat or are you holding it with your left hand? How much gap you got if it is flat - can't be much!!!

Kam it is bolted on. I have about 5mm clearance between it and the frame. That's why I might trim the frame to give a little more room so it doesn't knock.

You could put one of them hard foam strips on the inside of the front bar and wrap it with some exhaust heat wrap, or put the wrap on the downpipe, it'll knock but will be cushioned?

Gonna give it a drive soon and see if it knocks. Might be ok as I don't think the engines move all that much in the allspeed frames and the engine should rotate back with the torque going in the wheels so might not kock at all

Chris is a happy boy. Renewal quote for my mini as it was with 1275 was gonna be £359.19 without shopping around. Went to Adrian Flux with the full list of engine change details and everything on the car (which did impress the lady on the other end of the phone ) and it came to..........
