Hello people. Finally got some time so thought I'd start a thread. All began around August. It started with a few bits and bobs being taken off to get some work done and before I knew it the car is stripped and this is my daily driver too ;) Getting close to paint but things keep holding me up. Front don't fit right, touch the car and find more holes, too much beer, more holes, lack of money (cause of the beer). It's been a rocky road so far and can't see any smooth sailing for a while. Anyway a few pics for ya.

Here she is when I first got her. Had a body kit
Posted Image

Then I whipped that off for the cleaner look. Didn't like the body kit much
Posted Image

Now I'm finding holes. Had a couple of hundred pounds of welding done as my welding is not there yet. Only bought the welder earlier this year.

Reskinned the doors. Great job that. All went well for once.

Fitting a new boot skin. Trial fit here. But it's not gonna line up well. Anyone had this prob??

Have a look at this and tell me that is not a good shape. All twisted
Posted Image
So having problems trying to get a new one sorted. But here it's fitted but not lined up.

and that's about where I am at the mo. Not gonna be moving too fast but will keep updating as and when. Hope you like it so far :)

ooooooh US style flip front - I love those - Expencive brackets though unless you made your own?

The bootlid looks ok to me - Looks like it just needs pushing and and holding in place with the handle.

Well i was a little tipsy when I got those. It was a "I really want them and could spend time sorting out cheap ones. Or I could just get them from america. Click, click done" ;)|

Prob I have with the lid is I've got an internal release I've made. Now if I move the clamp further back i can't get it closed enough to engage. I still get it sticking out a bit when I'm leant on it pushing it in as far as i can. It's cool though I'll just live with it for now.

i like the colour scheme actually

i like that its not a 'dark dark dark dark deep blue practically black so why even bother trying to be indie'. Rather its a 'deep blue'

yeah I got someone to do it. Looks right messy and a big job but should get it looking good in the end. I don't think I'll ever be attempting it. Warped the boot floor a little but not too bad. You can see in the pic of the boot that it's not too bad with hamerite on it. A skim of filler is going on at the mo so getting better.

Gave the rear a skim of filler and a prime. You can see a few places where i need to fill abit more but not too bad. You can see on the last pic just that the right side is slightly further in than the left but not sure if this'll matter too much. See what it's like with paint.
