Yay me lol Im impressed with my brain work there lol

Of course they wouldnt flash you back, after all they are still BMW drivers and while I agree with Jammy about them being the peasants, they somehow have got it the wrong way round and seem to think that everyone else are the peasants lol

They are good for a new car, but not as a Mini. If youre going to get one you should go the whole hog and get a proper one :(

I never flash the new drivers!! I think one once tried to flash me but I just ignored it!! Sorry, I don't have anything against the people who own them. Its just how BMW used the name on something that is wholly un-Mini like, the same with the film as well! Basturds!!!

I can't believe they now let the things enter the Italian Job Mini Run! A chance for the Brands Hatch to Nurburgring to become the premier Mini Run in Europe.

they are not proper mini drivers, no community spirit. you flash them and they ignore you!

personally i dont even bother wasting the engery to move a finger and flash my lights....
ive tried in the past, but theyre not worth it.

i do however find that if i see one in the distance, i wont stop until ive overtaken it :(
and everytime i do overtake a Bini, i make sure i give a big cheeky grin to them, just so tehy know whos boss!

I think a lot of people are a bit childish about the whole Bini/Mini thing. If a driver of a Bini flashes their lights at me then i'll give em a wave back, I don't flash every Bini as clearly most aren't mini people, but who's to say that they don't have a garage full of real mini at home?? I know a few people who drive Binis as an everyday driver to preserve their minis. As for having to be infront of any Bini you see, I bet it fills you with real satisfaction beating some middle aged woman driving home from work listening to radio 2 :(

Yes they have the "mini" name but theres nothing we can do about it so why bother getting worked up about it, we all know what "mini" really means

Very valid point, as I said its not the driver its the car, if they have a mini at home then thats great, and if they flash me whilst driving that said mini then I'll happily flash back, but flashing a BINI, it ain't gonna happen!

i really dont know what to say on his BINI lark...i like the shape, and the sportiness of the BINI!! cant say " I hate it..."

And i would not turn one down if i won it in a competition...i know most of us are against them, im not really to be honest...if one flashes i dont always flash back..( unless its some right hot german lady!! ) then sorry i have to make a exception to the rules...( but dont tell the wife!! she would cut of my MINI cooper S ) :nugget:

Im germany anyways 99% of the people who own them are top class women..the german men really dont entertain them, they just buy them for their wifes or daughters...the men mainly drive Porsches, Audi TT`s and mercedes!! and the real men drive the Original MINI...

I feel sorry for the VW beetle fans!! look what they done to that..." looks like a Dr Marten steel cap boot on wheels!! " Aaaarrrhhh!! im a big fan of the old beetles and the VW bus T1...id die for a old 1960`s VW bus!! :(

Lets wait and see what other cars we will meet at the ring!! and believe me...there will be BINI`S there!! and porsches, audi`s, BMW and mercedes... and hopefully some classic cars!

I have to bring this up just to be the Devil's Advocate... BMW bought Rover in 1994... my car was made in 1995... so my car looks like a Mini, drives like a Mini, breaks :( like a Mini, rusts :nugget: like a Mini... but deep down, in its Corporate soul, it's a.........BMW! :saywhat:

Just because the company changed hands I don't think that makes your '95 any less of a mini, people with Astons don't say "like my ford??" :(

personally the bini is thw worse combination possible... not only r bmw imitating the classic min (BADLY) wenever i encounter a bmw driver they show no regard 4 other road users.... ARGH (hence nick bein run off the road by sum poncy bmw driver)

the only way thy cud get worse is to add nova stylin and BR's 2 it... yeugh!

tho if i won 1 in a competitoin i would take it!!!

then.............. sell it on 2 buy a PROPER mini...

as for alien protection - tin foil is more thn adequate... tho sheet steel tends 2 wrk better

PS: Dawn i hope ur reading this BINI's R C**p!!! not cool... i will get u 2 admit ur wrong!

well...

difficult, but my opinion...

my little son always made a difference. he was always recognizing minis and shouted "mini!!!" with wide open eyes when he saw one on the street at the age of 2 and something while all other cars were just cars...
i was surprised when he spotted a new mini and shouted "mini!" again...

as kids have a more simple mind he just recognized the design quotes that bmw took of the classic... and it seems obvious that they did it quite well (ask my little lad... he must know!) :cheese: ...

i doubt that this is happening with any of the beetle owners kids...

i'm definitely not a fan of the new mini. i think it's not a bad car, but it can't be compared with a mini as it's even taller than the austin maxi was...

but anyway. the marketing and the whole thing around the car is just brillant work...

to be honest... i'm not understanding why there is always such a big argument... you all drive minis as i do... you all know you're driving the original... and there can only be this one... so why bother about any copy??? let them believe whatever they like! we know better, don't we?... i mean... your all british (most of you)... so let there be a little more understatement, please...

and always think of one thing... what happens if someone asks what car your driving and you reply "a mini"? people usually ask "a new one?"... think of the smile that's on their face when you then reply "no! the original..." people are appreciating what we're doing... and there is no space for copies...

keep this in mind... :cheese:
