my little son always made a difference. he was always recognizing minis and shouted "mini!!!" with wide open eyes when he saw one on the street at the age of 2 and something while all other cars were just cars...
i was surprised when he spotted a new mini and shouted "mini!" again...

LOL....

Falk that is soooooo correct...my son Stanley is 3 in July and every since he knew what a mini was he would go crazy in the streets...and my Dad bought him a gold edition BINI model...and he opened the gift wrapping and to my surprise he shouted " MINI " much to my surprise...

So this really goes to show that if a child of 2 " Falks little lad " and my son cant tell the difference between the MINI & BINI they must have really done a good job...

this topic i have seen on most forums...and it normally ends up in a arguement...all over the world..

" let bygones be bygones..."

Leigh, the BINI is made in Britain, but the 'parent' company is German... so I guess that technically makes it an English car... just like Vauxhall is an English car company, although it's owned by GM. And BMW doesn't own Rover anymore... they sold the company back to the management, but kept the Mini, Bentley and Rolls Royce marques. I guess they don't have BMW written anywhere on the car, because the original car is so well-known around the world, they didn't need to mark it as a Beemer - the MINI name sells itself.

Nope, not even if I was offered it. Errrm, on second thoughts, I'd take it sell it to someone who didn't get what car they owned, then buy the best mini ever, maybe even an old works mini?!

I was going down the motorway last night, a MINI Cooper overtook me quite quickly, going up a rather steep hill. I made a point of overtaking it, I don't know what that says about me, I just HAD to do it!!!

I mean there is a american army base near where i live!! and there is one BINI in the camp that i see going to work every morning!! and believe me...ive never seen anything like it...its something like Graphite grey!! white roof...a Cooper S but when you see the work and effort gone in to this car!! man it blows me away!! the chrome wheels!! i could spend all day counting the spokes...low profile tyres!! dropped imensley!!

Not a union jack in sight, just a VERY happy american soldier...not even knowing what the discussion or confusion between the mini and bini!!!

In my eyes it beats any other small car on the road...ie Saxo!! clio!! alfa!! 206cc!! the list goes on...

But if we were talking other larger cars!! then id very much like a Audi RS6...or a new jag estate in British racing green with cream leather interior...with the chrome spoked alloys!! maybe next year!!

an audi rs6?

verrrry nice car, mate... but caution!!!

your wife might love you because you buy an estate car and show your sense for family instead of buying this 'bloody useless porsche carrera'... :cheese:
unless your driving with her on the passenger seat and sghe realizes what weapon you have brought home...

be careful, there were divorces about this topic...
