one of my mates has just bought a BMW Mini Cooper with the chili pack on it

what a dilly boy, he could have got a mint original cooper for that money and made it go a hell of alot quicker 

does he like the classic mini???

my dad is 67 this year and last year he came to germany and i wanted to take him out for a spin!! i did!!

And he said!! " looks very nice and IS a classic car!! but uncomfortable as f**k " bless him!! i had to pull him out of the passenger seat in the middle of the city!!

I dont think everyone loves the mini...like we dooo!! i think its more a statement than anything else!! me for instance..living in germany, wanted a english car!! couldnt afford a MG or TR7, spitfire!! so i got a mini cooper!! and now im hooked!! with 400 mini models to show...even sometimes i wonder 5 years down the line!!!

he loves the old mini, just not the reliability issues...

ive just been out in it, and i seem to nearly be converted from hateing them... they really are alright...NEVER thought i'd say that!

Thanks for your honesty madmax!! and you are the very few that would admit it...i mean its a nice car!! and WE have the upper hand on the matter!!

Its true!! some of us really do like the BINI but dont like to admit it...i mean i wouldnt go out and by a mini one or diesel...but i know for sure if i had the money id get a cooper S...many many classic mini owners HAVE gone out a bought a BINI...and they love it the same...and i bet it dont leak oil!! :tongue:

living in germany you see more tarted up cars anyways!! and you always see the cooper S taking on the TT on the autobahns like at 140mph...and then right up their harris a porsche GT at 170mph...and well what can i say!! and then comes the mercedes SLS AMG!!! at 210mph..

In my eyes germany is well up there with the best road cars!! forget the italians..." vorsprung durch Technik " :grin:

One day, there was this lawyer who had just bought a new Bini , and he was eager to show it off to his colleagues, when all of a sudden an eighteen wheeler came out of nowhere and took off the driver's side door with him standing right there.

"NOOO!" he screamed, because he knew that no matter how good a mechanic tried to fix it, it never would be the same.

Finally, a cop came by, and the lawyer ran up to him yelling, "MY B.M.W. MINI DOOR WAS JUST RUINED BY SOME FOOLISH DRIVER!!!" he exclaimed.

"You're a lawyer aren't you?" asked the policeman. "Yes, I am, but what does this have to do with my car?!?!" the lawyer asked.

"HA! You lawyers are always so materialistic. All you care about is your possessions. I bet you didn't even notice that your left arm is missing did you?" the cop said.

The lawyer looked down at his side and exclaimed, " OH NO, NOT MY ROLEX!"
