Certainly will ol' buddy.

But I am tempted to sell it for top money and get a low milage Civic Vtec enigne. Not sure, might see whats needed to fit it into a Clubby front.

I think you need bulkhead mods even in a clubman to fit a K20 engine, im sure watsons had to anyway. Aswell as lots of custom stuff for it to fit. Unsure about mintec frame though.

As Jobu says, its definitely more work to fit the K series engine, unless its going in the back! ;D So far I think only one person in America has done the conversion. Orrrr, there may have been another in the UK, but I think that one got written off.

I am toying with the idea of RWD, really not sure yet.

How come, the K20 has 200bhp, and the B16A2 (with slight mods) will do 200bhp, whats the extra 400cc doing?

The B16A2, without a doubt was an awesome engine..... That could explain it?

I think there is two on the minitec site, one supercharged. I know of two using a watsons frame (One done by them, the other was home built) one being the gold clubman. The other being a red roundnose but as you say it got written off.

I believe the 2.0 litres engines have more torque, and the B16A2 has 160bhp as standard.

You can get big hp gains from the K20 with just bolts ons. With a B16A2 you'll be doing more than just bolting things on to get 200bhp!

I swear I saw a Mini World RR shoot out, where someone dropped a B16 into a Mini, and the only thing they did was change the Manifold (exhaust) to fit it into the Mini, and it made 201bhp... @7000odd rpm...

Sorry but i very much doubt that, the figures were either wrong or it has more mods than that. Im sure from what i have read you will need more than just bolt ons to get 200bhp from a B16A2

Ahh fair enough.

Well I might get a 1800 Vtec, see if anyone fancies a swap plus cash or something.
Any ideas how hard/whats needed for a RWD converstion?
