Surely gearshift wouldnt be a problem as its cable on a k20?

Well my plans for this is to basically fit the enigne wherever it will go.

Front, back, mid... wherever.
The windows will be either welded up sheet steel, or tinted. The shell will look as if its been on the bottom of the Channel for the past 20years.... Proper Rat here

I'd guess a Zcars frame would be the way forward, save me welding anyways

Well with Z Cars your now into £6k+ easily.

Thats true, it is a cable change, but I'd still think you have to think quite a bit about routing of the cables, etc.
