not wanting to wii on anyones bonfire but the Guy from SC is well known on the circuit as being full of *swear word removed".

before you are more than a few lines into his ad he's already spewing it....

the worlds first 1380cc K 16v engine
- NO, definitely not - there were at least 20 produced all over the world well before he ripped off a Morspeed kit and called it his own.

I've talked to him at the shows and its clear that he has little or no real engineering knowledge or practical skills and relies entirely on those around him for their skills, knowledge and history.

A professional middleman exploiting the current desires for 16V engines perhaps, but i would be very wary of buying anything off him that hasn't had exhaustive testing.

Hi Jim,

Sure I'll come over and take you for a spin but wont be for a while yet. Will be interesting to compare to a turbo

I know when John took me a drive it gave one hell of a shove into the seat, more than my turbo Saab!

see you soon Buddy

Ian

PS Still got that washer bottle and door trim if you still need them

I can guess which engine builder you use.

Be carefull what you say as you can and will make yourself look daft.

I was aware that the Owners of Specialist componetnts were from engineering backgrounds, infact I know one Worked for Lotus and another co worker works for Mirage Motorsport. Please shoot me down if you know any different

I have contacted John K about this, and i am locking the topic until I get a response from him, tHis sort of un educated response gets peoples backs up and is no good for the forum or the two companies involved, I hope all you people apreciate this.

Please wait for a response

Just to say, I don't really know the history about who made what first, personally I don't think it really matters. But, JohnK has posted the rolling road results from this engine (which I believe he built himself). I think the power and the shape of the torque curve/straight line speaks for itself.
