no they aren't on yet
but maybe this weekend?
the problem is that we are waiting for chrome side strips. had them on order for months.
and some :teehee: in melbourne was going to charge us almost twice as much as a told us they would be two weeks ago. "oh prices 'av gone oop on those uns" (dodgy brit accent) he tells us. so were aren't going to give him the satisfaction of letting him rip us off.
thinking of ordering it from canberra.

and the wheels have been sandblasted and painted. just used a can of satin black spray paint. what sort of centre domes/caps would look good??

To be honest, I prefer the alloys without the centre caps. My alloys have MWS on a plastic 'chrome effect' centre, which in my opinion looks too new for my car. So I hope to remove them and have no centres ;)

to be honest i have no idea! that doesn't make me sound very smart, does it! um we basically went to the shop and saw a set on another mini, and ordered them. they are just narrow standard ones that came in a big white box...:ermm:

thanks. yeah now that i think about it, we wouldn't even have to get caps. i will see what happens when we get tyres (hopefully this week) and put the wheels on, and then we can have a think about it.

just seen the picture of them painted and fitted to the car. they look similar to a set i have found locally here in england. only problem i have is it wont cover my 7 inch deep dish rims, so i am gonna have to make a set to fit! its looking lovely tho! i bet you cant wait to drive it!

yeah they are quite narrow, but i really think that any bigger would look funny on this car.
the next thing now is fitting the chrome strip, which we have heard is a nightmare to do.

leave it immersed in a bucket of hot water for a bit. this softens the plastic up. makes it easier to put on. when it goes cold it holds in place.
