I will get round to redoing the bit that I sprayed badly at some point.

After.

Bonnet stripes painted on and Mk1 grille fitted.

Cigarette lighter installed, although it will blow the fuse if I actually try to use it as a lighter.

Handbrake gaitor I bought at Malvern, although annoyingly the colour doesn't quite match the rest of the interior.

I'm just showing off now.

That new grille looks very koolio! And I like the longer stripes too and also love your snazzy interior!
Thank you, the interior is even better now as I have just installed the Burr wood door capping along the sides.

How was it removing the lip?

Removing the lip wasn't too bad, just requires a good set of metal drills and an electric drill to remove each of the spot welds. Don't try and bend the lip of like I did as this will just make a mess of it. The spot welds are quite large and if you have a big enough metal drill, you can just drill the spot welds and the lip should just come off without any force required.
I'm really pleased with how the bonnet stripes came out, as the stickers did not go all the way under the lip and would have looked silly.

Did you say you painted the new bonnet stripes on?
Yes, in the same colour as the standard stripes as to look as though they were factory sprayed on.

Very posh!piccys?!
I completly forgot about this, I'll take some photos when I have some spare time.
Next on the list of things to do is to install the air vents into the centre console, also planning on fitting a full negative camber kit very soon.
Got it on a rolling road on Saturday. 54bhp at 4750rpm, would have been 55bhp if it weren't for my wheels bearings needing replacing.
A couple of gorgeous photos from the weekend, credit for these goes to wolfys mini.
