its from a mate of mine 
he dropped a windscreen on his metal one so got this one, then decided to repair his broken one...

whats the adaptor plate thingy that the breather is attached to? looks like the breather is orientated a slightly different way?

Its a mini spares engine adapter kit.
For some reason when the engine was built, we couldnt find a correct thread bolt for the engine steady. So a minispares repair bracket was bought. This comes with a piece to move the breather housing across slighty so theres room. Very clever.
