All welding has been finished thanks to my mate nick... front subframes painted and fitted
[attachment=15159:attachment]
New inner and outer pot joints.. rebuilt hubs, rebuilt upper arm, new steering rack,
[attachment=15160:attachment]
New front lowered Gaz Shocks and MOT bars painted and ready to fit.
[attachment=15161:attachment]
Spent half a day getting the doors to fit and close with a nice gap... not fun

But looks good now
[attachment=15162:attachment]
And after waiting nearly 3 months for minisport.. i now have my roll cage
[attachment=15163:attachment]
just haven't got a fitting kit.. >

[attachment=15164:attachment]
But still looks the part just resting there
Also bought a second hand 6 month old rear subframe £40, painted it up and fitted... hate fitting them. Got another bargain at mini spares.. brand spanking new radius arms £117 for a pair and a fitting kit.

LOL, sounds alot like mine!!

and Looking good.
If things are taking ages to arrive then your obviously ordering too much from MiniSport!!

I mostly use MiniSpares and do next day delivery, also if its not in stock you cant order it,
(sometimes you can but you get an email of what was sent) everything is always on time.
Also they stock more, and its easier to find.

Well i normally use Mini Spares, i'm fairly local to them so i normally drive up, but mini sport did a really good deal for the roll cage.. £330 for front and rear race. Just didn't tell me that i'd have to wait 3 months as safety devices almost went bust. So i had to wait for them to move to poland and start running of cages again.

here goes..
This was when i got my boot repair, rear valance and rear panel welded on. Took the lips off and filled with weld so its strong and ready for the filler..
We put the rear panel on first, then boot floor and finished it off with the rear valance
[attachment=15290:attachment]
then the filler
[attachment=15192:attachment]
Next to blend in was where the the new rear panel met the original car..
[attachment=15193:attachment]
Next it was painted in satin black... you wouldn't even know it had new panels
[attachment=15194:attachment]
Not bad..

next was the drivers rear quater panel..
[attachment=15291:attachment]
this was a fun job...

before
[attachment=15292:attachment]
after.. :'(
[attachment=15195:attachment]
remains
[attachment=15293:attachment]
under the scuttle on the drivers side.. where the air vents should be..
[attachment=15196:attachment]
was a big hole.

passenger side wasn't that bad, just around the bottom and inner and outer sill.
[attachment=15197:attachment]
which was fixed up like new
[attachment=15198:attachment]

That wire's never ending... gone through 2 big bottles of gas and still loads of wire.. its great!

[attachment=15207:attachment]
Then fitted the second part of the new a-post.. there was alot of rust damage to the inner sill so all that was replaced with the front drivers floor pan.
[attachment=15208:attachment]
My next step was to remove all the bad metal from the front inner arch leading up to the scuttle and the big hole..
[attachment=15209:attachment]
and..
[attachment=15210:attachment]
and attach the new bit.. had to make some panels to fill in the gaps but its all strong.
