There was a Mini Rose used in a series about 10 years ago called Murder Most Horrid and it was driven by Dawn French. As mentioned earlier, the early Bond films were good for spotting them. There's a saloon at a petrol station in For Your Eyes Only and Roger Moore arrives to get his Lotus in a Moke in The Spy Who Loved Me. I know there's more but can't think of them at the moment. Oh yeah, and Eddie Izzard drove an black MPI in The Avengers (film) which had been stripped of its spats in a pathetic attempt to make it look like a 60's mini.

my mini was in Eastenders last year, it was in the arches with Sonia hiding underneath because she had been accused of killing Pauline. I was soooo proud!

I remember that one.

The Carry On film was Carry on Camping it was full of hippies at the 'Glastonbury' bit near the end of the film.

I remember an 80's sitcom where one of the main characters had a wreck of a Mini that her boyfriend did up. Was it the one with Linda Bellingham?

Not sure if Ricky Butcher had one in East Enders as well?

Ricky Butcher once ran down Pauline Fowler in the red Mini 1000 he used to own. Then in later episodes he was seen servicing a white Rover Mini Cooper and Roy Evans (Pats then new man) sweet talked him round by going on about how he always loved the Mini and that film 'The Italian Job'. Ironically he Roy Evans aka Tony Caunter had a small starring role in the movie, even though he's not credited on the imdb. He played the prison guard at the beginning who told Charlie Croker to keep the noise down as he wasn't out yet.

Oh and don't forget about Jamie's red Mini Mayfair and how he used to drive around in it with Sonia.

I think Dawn French was driving a Mini 'Advantage' LE in Murder Most Horrid?

heart beat and the royal

Going off on a tangent, the "reputable" mini specialist in Scarborough that I bought my first mini from (and took back within 2 weeks) apparently supplies the Mini's for 'The Royal'... I think I may have to contact ITV and let them know its possible the actors are driving around in deathtraps... :proud:
