Inner wings, filler.


Sanded down, needs another skim of filler.


Thats it for today and yesterday, next progress possibly in 2 weeks.

Well time for a update. There has been progress but nothing to show as its boring Most is panel fitment making sure its right.

Welds are not pretty, fighting wind and welder to weld it in. They took which is the main thing.



More filler and sanding, smooth enough for now.



Bonnet on and quite flush, happy with that.




Now for the bad bit, i had a patch which was required in the bulkhead... and i kinda got grind happy and this resulted.


Plates either side.




Do i see smoke??? O not again! FIRE! No water, and its inside the car. Saved it by pulling the paper out then stamping on it. Panic over but got bucket of water after that.


Grinded down.


Hole i need to fill.



I also decided i dont like the colour but i have the replacment.

I know i do, sorted out the rear the other day so no rubbish in it and its more fireproof lol.

I changed my mind because i found a nicer one

Ahh true... i only realised when the fire was out i was stamping it out with oily jeans on, could have been fun.

Its a secret for now But be worth the wait.

Right update but no update.

The show season has come to a close so its now time to awaken the estate.

Also ive now done more sorting out in the garage and made room for my engine stand. Progress should be more frequent now.

Bulkhead going in

Well this weekend i finally got the bulkhead welded in (not finished though) also got problems with a overheating welder

Welded in


Welds not too bad


Side boxed in


Front on


Other side


Primed


Nice


Next job is finish off the top welds and make it a bit tidier then get the scuttle on Front end time.
